Pottery workshop

What happens in our workshop?
Welcome & Introduction

We begin with a warm welcome to the studio, followed by a short tour of the space so you can get comfortable with your surroundings.

Enjoy a Demonstration

You’ll receive an introduction to the pottery wheel, where we explain the full process, the materials you’ll be using, and the options available to you at the end of the class.

Create your own Pottery

You’ll create your own unique pieces on the pottery wheel, exploring form, texture, and creativity at your own pace.

Decorating Your Pieces

Once your pieces are formed, you can decorate them using a range of tools or paint with underglaze to add colour, patterns, and personal details.

Finishing & Glazing Option

At the end of the session, you can choose to have your pottery pieces fired and glazed for £6 per piece. If you’d like this option, please fill out the glaze form with all the required details before you leave.

Collection

Finished glazed work is usually ready in around 3–4 weeks. We’ll email you a link to book a collection slot or delivery.

Yes, we offer private bookings and corporate team-building workshops. Please contact us for availability, group sizes, and customised options.

No experience is necessary. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, and full guidance is provided throughout the session

Yes, the workshop is suitable for children aged 5 and above. Please contact us in advance so we can ensure the session is appropriate and safe for them.

You’ll create pottery pieces using both hand-building techniques and the pottery wheel. Each participant’s pieces will be unique.

The workshop runs for 2 hours, allowing time wheel throwing and a short introduction at the start.

All clay, tools, and equipment are provided.

Yes. At the end of the session, you can choose to have your pieces glazed and fired for £6 per piece

Glazed pieces will be ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after the workshop. You’ll receive an email when they are ready.

Once your pottery pieces are ready for collection, they will be kept for 2 months. After this period, we may be unable to store uncollected items due to limited studio space.

Once glazed and fired, pieces are generally food safe. However, if a piece has cracks, it may not be suitable for food use.

Yes. cancellations must be made in writing by email Cancellation fees apply depending on how much notice you give: within 14 days of the workshop date you’ll be charged 100% of the fee, 15–28 days you’ll be charged 50%, and more than 28 days you’ll be charged 20% (admin fee). If you don’t attend, the full fee is payable

You can request a transfer to another date in writing up to 7 days before the workshop date, subject to availability. A booking can only be transferred once further changes are treated as a cancellation.

Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. Aprons are usually provided, but clay can still get on clothing.
