What happens in our workshop?
Welcome & Introduction

We begin with a warm welcome to the studio, followed by a short tour of the studio so you can get comfortable with the space.

Enjoy a Demonstration

You’ll receive an introduction to the workshop, where we explain the full pottery process, the materials you’ll be using, and the wheel throwing and hand-building techniques you’ll learn—plus the options available to you at the end of the class.

Create your own Pottery

You’ll create your own pottery pieces using the techniques you learn during the session, exploring form, texture, and creativity at your own pace. The class is split into two sections, hand-building and wheel throwing . You’ll get to make pieces using both methods, such as cups, plates, bowls, and small vessels — completely customisable to whatever you want to create.

Decorating Your Pieces

Once your pieces are formed, you can decorate them using a variety of decorative tools or paint them with underglaze to add colour, patterns, and personal details.

Glazing Option

At the end of the session, you can choose to have your pottery pieces fired and glazed for £6 per piece. If you’d like this option, please fill out the glaze form with all the required details before you leave.

Collection

Finished glazed work is usually ready in around 3–4 weeks. We’ll email you a link to book a collection slot or delivery
